“There's an undeniable charm to this hotel, particularly for those drawn to period architecture and a central address. It seems well-suited to both families seeking a seaside break and business travellers looking for convenience. I think its range of rooms, some with balconies and views, plus the garden, set it apart.”

The location is fantastic, near everything. My room was quite large with a balcony facing the park. The bathroom and bedroom were great.
The sink taps were loose in my room. The push plug was rusted. The hot tap did not work.

the location is ideal for accessing the town centre and the scarborough spa.
The room was excessively hot. Even after turning off the heating, it took a considerable time to cool down. the windows were also unable to be opened. This added to the discomfort.

odd smelluncomfy bed
The room smelled a bit funny when I first walked in, which wasn't a great start. I also found a few hairs on the toilet floor. Not what I was expecting. The bed looked huge, but it wasn't really all that comfortable. Plus, I had to ask for towels. Seriously??
The location was superb, close to the train station. The room was very clean. I appreciated the extra towels and pillows provided.
The corridor outside my room was hot. The original windows allowed little fresh air into the room, SO it was very uncomfortable. The receptionist also manned the bar with limited stock.
